DAVE MILLER
A seasoned musical artist whose songs flow with the clarity and depth of a mountain stream, Dave Miller is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who blends Ozark Mountain string music, Western Swing, Bluegrass, Delta acoustic Blues, and Rock into a genre he calls “Riverbank Soul.” His songs are rich with wit, warmth, and wisdom—performed and written over nearly six decades of musical exploration. Dave writes with a veteran troubadour’s clever perspective.
Dave’s most recent release, Party in the Pines (2026, Howlin’ Dog Records), blooming with rich colors and textures that share common images, emotions, and dreams along with a spark of magic, paints a picture of the possibility of living a simple life in an increasingly complex world. Released in 2022, Prayers in the Wind (Howlin’ Dog Records) invited listeners into a world of vivid characters and unsung heroes, blending awe-inspiring natural imagery with humor and hope. Released in 2019, Dave’s first album on the Howlin’ Dog Records label and produced in collaboration with label-owner Don Richmond, Beauty Path delivered a lyrical exploration of life’s mysteries, growth, and joy. Independently released two years earlier, Southern Dreams (2017) offered listeners a humorous, warm, touching, and poignant collections of songs that paint a heartfelt picture of simple country joy, hard work, love, and the richness of everyday life.. The album was recorded at Howlin’ Dog Studios and co-produced by Dave and Don. His debut album, Just Flow: The Tribute Sessions, was independently released in 2016 as a tribute to his late bandmate Pat Hooper. Initially recorded at Memphis’s Easley McCain Studios and completed at Howlin’ Dog Studios, the album captures the spirit of longtime friends making music together—an intimate and enduring gift to listeners.
