New Studio!!!

As of August 2008, Howlin’ Dog has left the howling dogs of in-town life behind and moved to the country. We’re in a gorgeous (and very quiet) location in a larger facility specifically designed as a studio space. It sounds great, feels great looks great, and is a very comfortable space to work in. We’ve already finished a couple projects here and things are sounding and working great.

Description

Howlin’ Dog Recording is a hard-disc (Logic Studio, Pro Tools 7, Sonar 4.0) and/or ADAT based digital studio owned and operated by Don Richmond and located just northwest of Alamosa Colorado. The studio is a remodeled barn/garage/workshop building completely rebuilt in the fall of 2008 as a recording studio. There is a large performance/recording room, a drum room, a smaller isolation/vocal booth, and a control room, as well as a kitchen/break room and bathroom. The recording rooms and the control room all have visual contact with one another.

FYI

Why “Howlin’ Dog”? It’s just what Tumbleweed called our record label, and it seems to have stuck. If it doesn’t suit your music, we’ll just call it Abbey Road, OK? No one will ever know.
